November Review

I did not have the chance to look back at what I had read in October, due to the laptop having a rest! I cannot believe the last two months have passed so quickly and I am still blogging! That is thanks to all the lovely people who keep visiting and I hope you continue to do so when you have the time.

So what books did I finish in November?

Elizabeth Noble – The Girl Next Door

James Anderson – The Affair of the Bloodstained Egg Cosy

Alan Carr – Look Who it is: My Story

Olivia Ryan – Tales from a Honeymoon Hotel

Mary Nichols – The Fountain

Ken Follett – Eye of the Needle (Still Reading)

A rather mix of books. I gave them all 3 stars on my Amazon Review page apart from James Anderson which I enjoyed immensely and will certainly be reading the other two stories in his ‘Burford’ Mystery series. There is something about big country houses, murders, a host of characters and set in the 1930s that I just love. Years being brought up on Agatha Christie I feel.

I am enjoying Ken Follett and somewhat surprised that this book was written in 1979! It is certainly a good thriller and has kept turning the page to find out what happens next. Hopefully a review for this by the weekend. I picked this book up because I wanted to see what Ken Follett was like, as I am tempted by his latest novel Fall of the Giants. However I have seen quite a lot of poor reviews and now I think I might not want to spoil my enjoyment of Eye of the Needle.

As for December, well I have 2 weeks and 2 days left at work before 2 weeks off! I cannot wait until I can turn the alarm off and not have to get up at 0530! I plan a wake up at whatever time and then make a cup of tea and go back to bed with my book! A luxury that I am looking forward to.  Not sure where my reading is going to go in December, I have been rearranging my TBR pile, picking up and moving books all around it for inspiration. All I know is I have no definite plans to read any particular book.

On with December then.

  1. You have to get up at 5.30am? No wonder you’re desperate for a lie-in!

I’ve got about a week and a half off over Christmas and hope to get in quite a bit of reading 🙂

I love hearing from you so please leave a reply.
