Book Blogger Hop

This is a weekly blog hop for book bloggers to connect with other book bloggers! If you feel like joining in then head over to Crazy for Books and get hopping!

In answer to this weeks question Do you judge a book by its cover? I am afraid to say yes, sometimes when I am in Waterstones browsing, or on Amazon it is the cover which will catch my attention then I will dive in and read the blurb on the back and then if it looks good, starting reading the first couple of pages and if it passes that test then I buy it! I have been disappointed on occasions and also I have liked the cover and the rest is not good but next time I visit, I still pick the book up because of the cover. My mind is telling me something. All my favourite authors though – I do not worry about the cover.

  1. Hi, just found you through the hop. Alike to you, I don’t care what my favourite authors have their book covered with… if there’s loyalty to a writer it really doesnt matter. I like your blog and will be coming back. Feel free to visit my site in your spare time,

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Morning,
I am afraid I tend to judge a book by its cover unless I have read a good review.
When standing in the big book shops with all those lovely books shouting ‘pick me’ I will go with the title, cover and blurb in that order. The Blurb is the deciding vote for me

    enjoy ur weekend!

  3. found you through the hop. I’m like you, if it’s an author I know, I don’t care if it’s a picture of a dead rat on the cover, I’ll buy it. But to buy something on a lark, it better look cool. Cuz i’m shallow.

  4. I agree on not looking at covers with your favorite authors. If I have heard great things about a book, the cover is not as important.

I love hearing from you so please leave a reply.
